How could such inequality exist in a city like Minneapolis with such a concentration of wealth from companies like Target, Best Buy and 3M? It seems like there are plenty of financial resources to address these issues. We have a guest today who is beginning to explore these issues and is here to shed some light on this for us. Welcome Gavin! It's great to have you on the Minneapolis Opinion podcast.

Gavin, can you help the listeners understand the situation in Minneapolis by sharing your perspective?

I believe that it is very difficult to tackle the turmoil in Minneapolis from strictly a financial standpoint. These companies do have huge amounts of financial resources, but they are often used to cover company costs. The protesters in Minneapolis have every right to push for a better future. I just hope that they focus their efforts in the right direction. I believe one of the primary causes of inequality is a lack of education in poor communities. I believe that it is the responsibility of the government to reallocate resources and allow for better schooling for inner city students.
